4 Days Safari to Uganda Tour – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP and do an Afternoon Launch Cruise Along The Paradise of Hippos – The 45km Kazinga Channel
After breakfast at your place of stay in Kampala, embark on the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The journey of 417km about 7 hour drive is a rewarding one filled with magical sights including the Uganda Equator crossing at Kayabwe 77km from Kampala, the traditional range lands of Ankole, and the Bunyaruguru crater.
You will arrive in the park early for lunch before embarking on the recreational launch cruise along the 45km long Kazinga Channel.
The Channel dubbed the Paradise of Hippos is known for its great Hippo populations and the sights of Nile crocodiles, the range of water birds, and the wild game including the elephants, buffaloes, and Antelopes drinking on the channel side may not be missed.
The stretch to the shores of Lake Edward overlooking the Democratic Republic of Congo border is very rewarding. Retire from the activity and do a simple game drive along the channel track as you make your way to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Do the Morning Game Drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Take an early morning cup of coffee before embarking on the wild game viewing in the rolling Savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The drive will take you through Kasenyi which is a dwelling place for a range of game including elephants, lions, buffaloes, and Antelopes among others.
The racks are well-designed to increase your possibility of encountering wild game.
The sights of an elusive leopard, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, Side stripped Jackal; Oribis among others might be encountered.
Return from the 3 – 4-hour game drive to embark on the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It is 316km to Nkuringo, 309km to Rushaga, 218km to Ruhija, and 160km to Buhoma.
You will drive along the impressive plan of Ishasha where the tree-climbing lions dwell. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Do Gorilla Trekking in The Forested Hilly Landscapes of Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi For a Boat Ride and relaxation
After your early morning breakfast, your driver guide will drive you to the Park headquarters in your respective gorilla trekking region for a briefing about the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi.
You will meet other trekkers in the headquarters and you will be divided into groups of eight individuals who are allowed to visit one particular gorilla-habituated group.
After briefing, a UWA experienced ranger guide will lead you to the trail heads where gorilla trekking starts from and you will enter the thick dark impenetrable forest to start searching for the mountain gorillas.
It can take you 2-8 hours to encounter mountain gorillas and once up close, you will be allowed to spend one magical hour with these stunning apes.
During this time, you can decide to sit down listen to Gorilla Crumble, study how these apes go about their daily activities and you can take as many photos as possible.
When the one hour is done, you will walk back to the park headquarters and finally after the whole mountain gorilla encounter in Uganda’s Bwindi, you will drive back to the starting point to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi through the fascinating LKigezi Highlands for an evening boat cruise, relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kampala With a Stop at The Equator. Traditional Lunch at Igongo Cultural Center
After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Kampala. The drive will take you through impressive countryside landscapes before approaching Igongo Cultural Center 12km past Mbarara town for a traditional thrilling lunch after which you will proceed to have another stop at Uganda Equator Crossing Kayabwe for amazing photo shoots and water experiments. Continue to arrive in Kampala in the evening.
