3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari From Kigali  – Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer From Your Destination to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda

If the tourist is coming from Kigali Rwanda to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda, you will be picked up by our company safari guide from either the airport or hotel depending on choice, and thereafter embark on your journey to Kisoro where you will spend the night.

This journey takes a drive of about 3 hours. On your way to Kisoro, you will have a city tour in Kigali and you will see the lush rolling hills of Rwanda as you cross the border to Kisoro. Transfer to your hotel in Kisoro where spend your night.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda And Lake Bunyonyi Tour

You will have your breakfast at the lodge where you will be picked up by our safari driver guide as early as 7 am and drive to the park headquarters to join other Uganda gorilla trekkers for a briefing about the Uganda gorilla trekking rules at 8 am.

You will trek gorillas through the Bwindi thick forest with the park rangers to find the gorillas. This steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but is traversed by numerous animal trails allowing access by tourists.

This Uganda gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park takes a period of about 1-8 hours depending on where the gorillas are.

Once you site the gorillas, you will strictly be given a one-hour stay with the gorillas. After the Uganda gorilla tour, you will leave the forest reporting back to the headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate for the completion of the gorilla trekking experience.

The guide will then drive you to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise through a beautiful part of Uganda often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’.

Lake Bunyonyi is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is also the second deepest lake in Africa, it has over 900 meters.

The lake is also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzia-free. After the Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will go back to the lodge for dinner and rest as you prepare for the en route to Kigali.

Day 3: Transfer Back to Kigali

Wake up early in the morning, and have your breakfast at the lodge. Our driver guide will pick you up from the lodge where you will depart with great memories of the moments you spent with the charming Mountain Gorillas of Uganda.

Transfer back to Kigali with lunch en-route, then proceed to Kigali International Airport where you will catch your flight back home or to the hotel where you will spend your night.
