4 Days Rwanda Safari Tour – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Rwanda Through Kigali International Airport in The Evening and transfer to The Hotel
Arrive in Rwanda after your long day flight through the Kigali International Airport where you find the driver guide who will then transfer you to the respective Hotel for relaxation dinner and overnight.
Accommodation: Hotel Des Milles Collins (Upmarket/Luxury) / Hotel chez Lando (Mid-range/Standard) or Golf Hills Residence (Budget/Basic).
Day 2: Visit The Kigali Markets, Genocide Sites of Gisozi and Nyamata and transfer to Volcanoes National Park in The Afternoon
After breakfast, embark on the tour of the Kigali city. The encounter will take you through the Kigali markets exploring how the local Rwandese make ends meet through their businesses.
The range of products that are sold will be an experience of its own. You will also visit the Gisozi genocide memorial where great counts of the remains of the Rwandese people especially the Tutsi and the moderate Hutus are kept in memory of the bloody genocide that hit Rwanda in 1994.
From here, you will embark on the 116km transfer about 2 ½ hours’ drive to Volcanoes National Park for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Do Gorilla Trekking & Afternoon Relaxation or Embark on The Musaze Caves Walk or Twin Lakes Walk
Wake up in the morning for a cup of coffee at your place of stay after which you transfer to Kinigi Park Headquarters in Volcanoes National Park for the gorilla trekking encounter.
At 8 a.m., you catch up with the briefing exercise by the park rangers about the gorilla trekking conduct.
In this session, you will be allocated a specific gorilla family that you are going to track and in case of special concerns such as mobility issues, you can notify the responsible personnel to allocate you a suitable family.

Day 4: Hike Dian Fossey and transfer Back to Kigali For Shopping and evening Flight Departure
After breakfast, embark on the hike to Dian Fossey’s site to encounter the graveyard of the most famous mountain gorilla conservationists that the world has ever had.
Dian Fossey is credited internationally for fighting tooth and nail to see that the plight of mountain gorillas gain international momentum and interest toward their conservation and continued existence.
